Medicare / Medicaid Compliance Program
All
Great Lakes staff is required to attend
yearly Medicare and Medicaid meetings. In addition, all
attend the reimbursement conference with the Ohio
Ambulance Association as well as the American Ambulance
Association. We conduct quarterly audits to ensure
compliance with all federal and state regulations.

As an optional service to you, we can both design
and process Patient
Surveys
that will gauge overall transport satisfaction.

Community Forums
We understand that medical billing can be confusing
to many of your residents. As a service to your
community,
Great Lakes will commit to holding
regular public forums to address problematic insurance
claims. Please note that these sessions will not be
limited to ambulance claims, but can address other
provider issues as well.

Billing In-services for Personnel
We offer basic billing classes to all
EMS personnel to further their knowledge
of the various payor requirements related to
documentation. In addition, we can work with the EMS
Director to develop orientation for new hires.

Assessing Hospital Relationships
Our goal would be to establish dial-up procedures
for those facilities with whom you affiliate. This
approach improves data collection immensely which in
turn improves overall reimbursement abilities. For
those facilities that to not offer dial-up access, we
will work on your behalf to develop a cooperative
relationship to satisfy your
informational needs. |
